LARGE NUMBER OF BOOMERS ARE FILING LTC CLAIMS, STUDY FINDS Another study says many Americans are counting on family if they need long term care Several studies investigating long term care were released including one suggesting that individuals in the boomer generation are far likelier to file LTC claims than might be expected.
UnumProvident Corp. found that almost 58% of LTC claims the company handled as of 2006 were for people under age 65. More... 2008 HSA CONTRIBUTION LIMITS The IRS announced the new 2008 HSA contribution limits. Maximum contribution for a Single is $2,900, while Family is $5,800. The Catch up rule for those over age 55 has been increased to $900.
Also in the new rules - participants may now contribute up to the annual limit regardless of the amount of their deductible or when they enrolled in an HDHP.
